On Sunday, 10 December, the rollout or festive delivery of the first F35 Lightning fighter aircraft for the Belgian Air Force took place at Lockheed-Martin's production facilities in Fort Worth, Texas. This joyous event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including our Prime Minister Alexander De Croo.

The attendees included the CEOs and representatives of the Agoria/BSDI companies working with Lockheed-Martin under this procurement programme.

Two additional agreements were also signed in the sidelines: by and between SABCA and Lockheed-Martin for the supply of composite parts and wing cladding, and by and between Safran Aero Boosters and Pratt & Whitney for the supply as well as the development of specific Additive Manufactured engine components.

These new agreements demonstrate that the Belgian aerospace industry has the necessary expertise to contribute to the production of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft. At the same time, they serve as evidence that the cooperation between the Belgian Defence, the FPS Economy and Agoria for Defence procurement programmes is bearing fruit.

Companies interested in the opportunities of the military market and in supporting the development of technology for military applications can contact Agoria at the Belgian Security & Defence Industry (BSDI) business group. Contact Georges Heeren for more information.
