With its new name the company, specialized in automating avionics certification, will focus on its core product, the computer language “Sol” and its hardware computer family SolAero and SolRack.

The Belgian company (UN)Manned, specialised in the automation of avionics certification, changes name to Sol.One.

“Sol.one positions us as a leading company in avionics software and hardware systems”, explained Filip Verhaeghe, founder and CEO of sol.one.

The company has developed a novel software and hardware platform that automates the DO-178C process, reducing the effort of writing a DAL-A application by up to 80%.

This technology has been reviewed and approved by EASA as a valid method of conducting avionics certification, and offers a dramatic reduction in software development time and cost.

“We have build a track record with major clients over the past years. The name change marks a new era for our company with sustained growth and a market outreach covering manned and unmanned aviation both in traditional markets as well as in upcoming markets like urban air mobility.”
