As part of the ongoing Ecodesign and Energy labelling revisions, also known as the Winter Package, the public consultation for lighting products has been launched for feedback. It is the last chance to provide direct feedback.
As announced earlier in the article of Monday September 24th a number of public consultations (4-week feedback mechanisms) have been launched for the ongoing Ecodesign and Energy labelling revisions within the 'Winter package'. This is the last possibility to provide direct feedback on the proposals for the adjusted regulation for the relevant product groups (see Figure 1).
After these public consultations, the member states will vote on the Ecodesign proposals (implementing acts) and discuss the Energy labelling proposals (delegated acts). Next the European Council and the European Parliament will have to give their consent upon which the official publication will follow. The regulation will then officially enter into force on the 20th day upon publication.
The public consultations for ENER lot 8, 9 and 19 lighting products can be found here for Ecodesign (under 'draft act') and here for Energy labelling.
The deadline for feedback is November 9th 2018. Take part if you are an involved party and certainly inform us in case you have provided feedback via firstname.lastname@example.org.
With the close of these public consultations the phase in which involved stakeholders can provide direct feedback on the proposed regulation will be finalised. During next phase involving the voting by Member States Agoria will still have the possibility to provide indirect feedback through the provision of consultation to the Belgian representatives in the Ecodesign and Energy labelling dossiers. In case you are in need of specific adjustments or wish to formulate remarks on one of the current proposals, we advise you to contact us as soon as possible.
