The Gears & Transmission Units group consists of manufacturers and distributors of gears, gear housing, transmission units and their components to be used in various markets, such as the automotive, industrial drives and wind energy markets.
- A national group of company managers and plant managers represents the sector and meets biannually. The group pursues the interests of the sector as a whole and works on specific topics, such as digitisation, factories of the future, Industry 4.0, new technologies, specialized training courses, normalisation and market monitoring.
- The group represents the members at the European level in the EUROTRANS umbrella organisation and monitors the same topics at the international level.
- The group organises high-level network activities and inspiring company visits.
- Technical regulations are monitored by EUROTRANS.
