The Bicycles, Parts & Accessories group consists of the manufacturers, assembly companies, and distributors of bicycles and electric bicycles and their parts and accessories.
- The group represents the members at the European level in the CONEBI umbrella organisation and monitors significant topics at the European and the international level (technical regulations, market development, trends and technological developments, international trade and import).
- The group monitors the (inter)national market developments and communicates regarding business opportunities to the member companies.
- The group organises meetings with various stakeholders when required.
- The group supports the (electronic) bicycle and innovative mobility solutions that include bicycles from a mobility perspective in collaboration with the Smart Mobility working group.
Belgian Bicycle Industry Market Summary In 2018, the total sales figures of bicycles in Belgium have slightly dropped compared to last year and are estimated at a value of about 485,400 bicycles. Estimated production figures of bicycles in Belgium have increased again since last year.
