The first edition of the Belgian eHealth interoperability events will take place during the 20th IHE-Europe Connectathon Week hosted for the first time in Belgium, Brussels from 2-6 November 2020 (postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic).

Whether you are a company decision maker, an R&D or IT manager, a project leader or an IT developer, these events have several interesting and varied tracks. Some are technical workshops while others are informational and offer the opportunity for networking. IHE Belgium, in collaboration with and Abrumet are honored to invite you to this year’s 2020 Connectathon Week in Autoworld, Cinquantenaire.

For everyone active or interested in the Belgian eHealth ecosystem, two events are of particular interest:

  • 2-days Plugathon (November 3-4) is an educational hands-on learning workshop that will help vendors/start-ups to make their solution interoperable with other systems. For example, you will learn how to connect your solution to the Belgian eHealth platform basis services as well as to the Brussels healthcare secured server called Brusafe+. On top there will be a track on API’s and the HL7 FHIR standard that is referenced in the national eHealth roadmap 2019-2021.
  • Belgian eHealth Interoperability day (November 5) is a full-day seminar dedicated to all healthcare actors and will highlight the importance and benefits of using international profiles (such as IHE) in order to allow interoperability of IT-Healthcare systems. There will be parallel sessions dedicated to hospitals, vendors, start-ups, health software developers (mobile, first line), ...

The IHE-Europe Connectathon Week also hosts several technical workshops and networking events. Visit “Connectathon Week” website for more information.
