Agoria: "Without a suitable policy, there will be 584,000 unfilled vacancies in 2030" Agoria warns of the ever-increasing demand for labour. If Belgium does not change its policy, the country will have no less than 584,000 unfilled vacancies in 2030, according to a study conducted by Agoria and the various regional employment offices. Avoiding such a situation can bring 95 billion euro to the Belgian economy by 2030.
How welcome do your expats feel in their municipality? The Belgian economy is very international and several dozen nationalities in the same workplace are no exception. Agoria wants expats to feel at home in our technology companies as well as in our country. In this respect, it is very important that their contacts with authorities go well. Positive experiences with local administrations, in particular, are essential for smooth integration. After all, for many new entrants their local administration is often the first authority they encounter upon their arrival in Belgium.
