CLEPA Innovation Awards 2020: Call for applications now open! The European Association of Automotive Suppliers, in cooperation with Deloitte, organises what has become a prime competition in the automotive supply industry. Underlining the diversity and variety in the sector, this contest is now open to all companies–including SMEs and startups–, research centres, educational institutions, other organisations and stakeholders participating in the development of mobility technology. Only 25% of people working in the tech sector are women, and they only account for 18% of digital experts. Despite existing initiatives, despite all efforts made over the years by the educational sector and other organisations, those figures are not changing. Why is this a problem? And are there other solutions to solve it?
A climate-neutral building stock: Belgian buildings climate neutral by 2050 with societal support One of today's major climate challenges is the transition to a climate-neutral building park by 2050. The necessary technology to achieve this is largely available. The big challenge lies in ensuring this technology applied and that this results in an increased quality of life. To succeed it is essential that both society and the construction sector are able to realise the required renovations and building projects. Agoria therefore started in 2020 a study within the project ‘Climate Neutral Building Park’ with the aim of developing a feasible renovation strategy.
Discover Audi Brussels, Factory of the Future 2020 Audi Brussels (Forest) is the Audi Group's first CO2-neutral factory in the world and employs 3,000 people, 500 of whom were recruited in 2018. This ultra-modern plant, which manufactures the e-Tron and e-Tron Sportback, was one of four to receive a Factory of the Future Awards in 2020.
